External Attenuator
It helps a lot to attenuate the
incoming signals of 20 dB when the they are too strong, rather
than to turn RF knob counter-clockwise.
I didn't want to make another modifications because it is not
necessary. Instead, I made a small external attenuator that can
be directly attached at the rear. See the pictures.
 The switch is the ON-OFF-ON type. This enables to completely disconnect the RX from antenna as well. |
 RCA (CINCH) connectors are soldered into holes in the tinned box. |
 The box is simpy plugged onto the rear panel of the transceiver. It occupies these connectors: RECEIVER INPUT TERMNAL RECEIVER OUTPUT TERMNAL |
