External Attenuator

It helps a lot to attenuate the incoming signals of 20 dB when the they are too strong, rather than to turn RF knob counter-clockwise.
I didn't want to make another modifications because it is not necessary. Instead, I made a small external attenuator that can be directly attached at the rear. See the pictures.


The switch is the ON-OFF-ON type. This enables to completely disconnect the RX from antenna as well.

RCA (CINCH) connectors are soldered into holes in the tinned box.

The box is simpy plugged onto the rear panel of the transceiver. It occupies these connectors:
RECEIVER INPUT TERMNAL
RECEIVER OUTPUT TERMNAL
